Goods Collection

Goods collection has been suspended indefinitely, due to limited delivery capacity (Damage and congestion of roads to Noto)

We thank everyone for their support, and ask that you refrain from individual travel to Noto as far as possible, and make monetary donations instead (see below).

 

The following items are being collected from Komatsu citizens, and will be sent to the disaster sites in Noto in collaboration with relevant authorities. 

  • Portable toilets
  • Baby milk powder or liquid
  • Toilet paper
  • Adult diapers
  • Baby/child diapers
  • Menstrual products

 

*Note that items must meet the following conditions

  • Unopened items
  • At least 10 pieces per item

*Including this collection in Komatsu City, donated goods from companies, organizations and local governments are being collated by the Ishikawa Prefecture government. 

*Please avoid purchasing goods specially for this, and consider making a monetary donation instead.

Monetary Donations

1)Komatsu City, 2)Japanese Red Cross Komatsu Branch, and 3)Ishikawa Prefecture will be collecting donations for the Noto Earthquake Disaster. Donations will be distributed to disaster victims across Komatsu City (1) and Ishikawa Prefecture (2,3).

Both donation in cash or bank transfer is possible (including overseas donations for Ishikawa fund). Refer below on how to donate to each fund.

Donation boxes will be set up at the following locations:

  • Komatsu City Hall
  • City Hall South Branch Office
  • City Hall Service Desk Urara Branch
  • Science Hills Komatsu
  • Suehiro Gymnasium (Yoshitsune Arena)
  • Komatsu Sun Abilities
  • Komatsu Dome
  • Daiichi Community Center

Donations are also accepted at the City Hall Welfare Division service counter (please request if you require a receipt).

*Note that donations to the Japanese Red Cross Society (令和6年能登半島地震義援金) are also being accepted at the same locations. Be sure to differentiate between the two funds (Komatsu City fund: 小松市災害義援金)

*Waiver of transfer fees:

  • Donations via Hokkoku Bank (in person, ATM, or internet banking) will not be charged transfer fees.
  • Donations via Japan Post Bank (Yucho) and banks under the Regional Banks Association of Japan will not be charged transfer fees, if made in person at bank. Transfers via ATM or internet banking will still be charged (list of banks)
  • All other banks will incur transfer fees.

Tax Exemptions

Receipts issued for cash donation / bank transfer can be used to apply for tax exemption.

Individual donors may receive donation tax exemption for income tax, and tax reduction for resident tax, for donation amounts exceeding 2000 yen, when filing tax return.
