Disposal of Disaster Waste 災害廃棄物

The following system has been implemented for disposal of disaster waste generated from the 1st Jan 2024 earthquakes.

Period has been extended to 3 Feb 2024.

Large and heavy objects such as stone lanterns and stone walls, that are difficult to transport individually, will be accepted until 30 Mar (Sat).

Disposal Fee

Fees will be waived for items listed below. 

However, note that submission of an application form is required.

(Certified with the seal of your neighborhood association leader, and submitted at the Ecology Park toll gate.)

Items that can be disposed

The following wastes generated from earthquake damage can be disposed for free:

  • Furniture
  • Household applicances
  • Tiles
  • Concrete debris (from walls etc.)

 

*Please dispose waste from usual daily activities at the regular neighborhood disposal site. (Disposal of living waste (burnable garbage, recyclable garbage) resume at Ecology Park from 4 Jan, with usual fees applying)

*Industry waste from businesses should be managed by business owners according to the usual procedures. They cannot be disposed at neighborhood disposal sites or Ecology Park.

Garbage Separation

You are required to deposit your disaster waste by type at the disposal area.

Please separate them beforehand

(Furniture / Applicances / Tiles / Concrete debris etc.)

You are also required to carry down the garbage yourself.
